ARARAT VALLEY
Situated on the east of the central part of Armenia Ararat is the second largest viticultural region of Armenia and the sunniest one. The sum of active temperatures during the year (+10°C and more) exceeds 4000 °C, hence ensuring high level of sugar concentration in berries. Here, vine growing dates back to the reign of King Rusa the Second (685-645 BC).
